Description

The Singapore economy in 2018 is poised for a new normal in growth with economic forecasts ranging from 2% to 3.5%. Business leaders are reflecting on their interpretation of ‘growth’ and continually developing strategies which focus on delivering quality and sustainable growth without sacrificing profitability and healthy margins.

Corporate giants are constantly under growth pressure and threat from disruption. The financial services sector is certainly no stranger to this. Banks like DBS which received Singapore’s ‘Most Valuable Brand’ view growth in brand value as equally important as that of growth in products and profits. DBS has weaved innovation and digital transformation into the banking experience, and harnessed the power of analytics to re-imagine banking. Come hear from DBS Innovation and Data Science leaders about how these well-timed and forward-thinking investments have set the stage for their corporate growth plans.

SMEs too have to tackle increasingly competitive operating environments which put pressure on achieving quality growth. Whilst growth strategies are certainly not ‘One-Size-Fits-All’, it is fair to say that growth-fuelled business models exhibit certain traits such as a healthy dose of innovative thinking, constant adoption of new technologies and decision making based on insightful analytics. Learn from our panellist of distinguished business leaders on how they are able to balance the pressure of dealing with growth demands and the need to take calculated risks by internationalising, investing in business innovation, technology and analytical capabilities to reap returns in the longer term. Also hear from IPOS about the solutions available to protect corporate investments which are critical to growth and how these are steadily gaining traction with the local business community.

Organised by RSM in partnership with DBS Private Bank, join us at the Welcome 2018 Seminar as we touch on these pertinent topics surrounding growth for the coming year.
